how do i get to and from the wedding venues?

San Miguel de Allende is a completely walkable town. If you're staying at our room block hotels, you’ll be at, or right across the street, from our welcome party venue and just a five-minute walk from our wedding venue.

That said, San Miguel’s charming cobblestone streets can be tricky! Ladies, we recommend walking to the venue in flats and switching to heels once you arrive.

If you're staying on a different side of town, Ubers and taxis are easy and inexpensive options to get to both events.

¿Necesito saber hablar español?

While it never hurts to know a little Spanish, San Miguel is known as a hub for American and Canadian expats, meaning you’ll likely encounter more English speakers than Spanish speakers. But hey, if you want to brush up on your Spanish, ¡adelante! No one’s stopping you!

what is the weather like in san miguel?

San Miguel de Allende has beautiful, mild weather in late January and early February. Expect daytime temperatures around 75°F, with cooler evenings dipping to about 45°F. While you'll be basking in sunshine during the day, you'll want a jacket or sweater once the sun sets. Both of our events are indoor/outdoor, so layers are your friend.

Can I drink the water in san miguel de allende?

like we would for any city in mexico, we recommend to avoid drinking tap water and being cautious with anything that might have been washed in it, such as uncooked vegetables, table salsas at local taquerias, and unpeeled fruit from markets. That said, San Miguel de Allende is very visitor-friendly, and all of the restaurants we’ve recommended take extra precautions by using filtered water. You’ll also find filtered water available at restaurants and in your hotel rooms, so staying hydrated safely won’t be an issue!
