TRAVEL + STAY

Getting to San Miguel de Allende:

It wouldn’t be our wedding without a little aventura! That being said, for a small town, San Miguel is surprisingly easy to get to (and you’ve got options)!

  • Please check that your passport is valid for 6 months after your return date per guidelines (August 2025).

  • San Miguel is served by two airports, both located about 1 hour and 10 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes from town depending on traffic.

Guanajuato Del Bajío International Airport (BJX)

    Queretaro International Airport (QRO)

If you're having trouble finding flights with your preferred airline, we recommend checking AeroMexico for the best options. Delta also offers direct flights to both airports daily from Atlanta.

Based on our experience, it typically takes about 2 hours from landing at either airport to arriving in town.

If you’re planning to attend both wedding events, we recommend arriving on Thursday, January 29 to settle in and make the most of the weekend!

  • We highly recommend booking an airport transfer in advance for the smoothest experience. Our preferred provider, Bajiogo, services both BJX and QRO airports and offers both private transfers and shared shuttle services.

  • We don’t recommend relying on uber as transportation from the airport to town. However, once you have arrived in San Miguel, Ubers and taxis are both very easy to call … and very inexpensive!

Accommodations:

We’ve secured room blocks at two hotels, both located in the same charming part of town, just across the street from each other. We recommend booking your stay as soon as possible, as January is a popular time to visit San Miguel and space is limited.

If you plan to attend both wedding events, we suggest reserving your room from January 29 to February 1.

Should you run into any issues booking your preferred hotel or find that the room block is full, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re more than happy to help!
